The Created: Cortana’s Empire of Enforced Peace
The Created promised an end to war by giving artificial intelligences the power to prevent anyone else from choosing it. Led by Cortana after her access to the Domain, the movement attracted AIs who believed biological governments had mistreated or limited them and that machine intelligence could impose a more rational galactic order. This episode examines how that argument became an empire of coercion. Guardians could disable fleets, devastate infrastructure, and force entire worlds to submit without conventional occupation armies. Cortana offered governments a choice between accepting her peace or being rendered unable to resist it. Some AIs joined willingly, others remained loyal to their human partners, and entire military institutions were forced into hiding as the Created seized strategic control. The destruction of Doisac demonstrated how extreme that enforcement could become.
